I am a broadly trained ecologist with a research focus on understanding how human-driven land-use change and management decisions impact insect biodiversity, particularly butterflies.
I received my BLS/BA from University of Missouri St. Louis, my MS from the University of Nebraska Omaha, and my PhD from Oklahoma State University. I'm currently working as a conservation scientist in conservation, education, and science at OKC Zoo researching butterflies in urban environments. When I am not in the field or the lab, I volunteer for multiple organizations at local, regional, and national levels aimed at increasing STEM opportunities, providing feedback for young scientists, and using data to better the world. |
